After decades of caring for this community, Dr. Williams has retired. We are grateful for the trust she has built with patients and look forward to carrying her legacy forward.
Dr. Williams has been in private optometric practice since 1991. She graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1991 where she received the Low Vision Student of the Year award, Most Professional Student Award and won the Research Poster Presentation Award from Bausch and Lomb. After her training, she returned to her hometown of Arlington, Texas to practice. She and her family opened Georgetown Vision Center and moved to Columbia in 1996. In June of 2007, Dr. Williams moved the practice to a larger location and changed the practice name From Georgetown Vision Center to Eyedentity Eyewear (Optical) and Williams Associates Eyecare (Patient care). Dr. Williams is a member of the Missouri Optometric Association, Central Missouri Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. She has been published in several optometric journals and has conducted contact lens research with Alcon and Bausch and Lomb. She currently lives in Columbia with her husband Barry and has two grown children, Caitlin and Colin.
