LASIK

LASIK is a laser based procedure to surgically correct your eyes. Dr. Williams has experience in co-managing LASIK with corneal specialists in Columbia. All pre and post operative care can be administered by Dr. Williams, though a referring surgeon performs the procedure. Please schedule an appointment to see if you’re a good candidate for LASIK.

Emergency Eye Care

We assist with eye emergencies during office hours and if necessary after hours and on weekends. We diagnose and treat eye acute eye allergies, infections and inflammations, corneal abrasions, foreign body removal and sudden loss of vision. In addition, we provide consultations and triage with other emergency trauma and retinal specialists in Columbia.

Sports Vision

If you’re looking to gain an edge in your sport consider optimizing your vision. Visual acuity is sharpened and depth perception is maximized to achieve this edge. Precise contact lens prescriptions correcting for small amounts of astigmatism often provide an effective solution.

Sports glasses and sunglasses also offer an advantage on the playing field. Sports glasses provide safety. Sunglasses with proper tint and polarization can enhance vision outdoors during bright conditions. Lenses providing a “wrap” around your eyes, reducing glare and distraction, allowing you to stay focused on the game.

Cataract Surgery

Cataract surgery is necessary when the lens inside your eyes becomes cloudy or hazy and vision becomes blurry. Cataracts are mostly associated with age. A comprehensive eye examination is necessary to determine if you have cataracts, and if they’re ready to be removed. Pre and post operative care is given at our office, and the procedure is done by a referring surgeon.

Corneal Refractive Therapy

If you prefer not to wear glasses you may consider this non-surgical process. Corneal Refractive Therapy gently reshapes the cornea while you sleep. Patients wear specially designed contact lenses at night, then removes the lenses when awaking. No other visual treatment is needed throughout the day. The procedure is great for active teens playing sports or anyone who doesn’t want to wear contacts. An eye examination is required to determine if you are an ideal candidate.
